Our Mission

The Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies Conservative EDA exists to organize, fundraise and campaign on behalf of the Conservative Party of Canada in our electoral district. We support our Member of Parliament, recruit and train volunteers, build community across the Kootenays, and prepare the electoral district for every general election.

The Electoral District

Created in the 2023 federal redistribution and first contested in 2025 (the area was previously the electoral district of Kootenay–Columbia), Columbia–Kootenay–Southern Rockies covers 40,444 km² of southeastern British Columbia — spanning parts of the East Kootenay, Columbia–Shuswap, Central Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary regional districts. The electoral district is home to roughly 117,132 Canadians, with an average age of 45 and an average household income of $51,550. It borders three U.S. states — Idaho, Montana and Washington — more than any other electoral district in Canada.

What the EDA Does

• Supports MP Rob Morrison and his constituency work in Ottawa and across the electoral district
• Recruits, trains and deploys volunteers for elections, by-elections and ongoing community engagement
• Raises funds within Elections Canada rules to power campaigns and outreach
• Builds Conservative Party membership across all 50+ communities
• Hosts events — town halls, BBQs, Annual General Meetings and policy discussions — for members and supporters
• Communicates Conservative values and policy positions clearly to Kootenay residents
